Nepal is known for adventures such as trekking, mountaineering, rafting, canyoning, wildlife trips e.t.c. Our courses so far have covered trekking, camping and canyoning in specific. The goal with all the courses are to cover the basic three elements leadership, life skills and environmental education that all students take away, at the same time we also to introduce the students to a specific area of opportunity with adventure tourism. It is important that we to expand the diversity of adventures we cover. Among the various adventures with tourism whitewater rafting seconds the list of Top experiences in Nepal. Thus, through the feedback of past students, the volunteers and our desire to expand our coverage the next course will be a basic rafting and kayaking course. This will be a great edition after. We are positive that the students will have a great time being introduced to outdoor education through Rafting & Kayak course. Who know may by the time you decide to visit Nepal, some of these youths are already in the profession.

Team / Volunteers

The course will be lead by Jagan Nath Timilsina along with the Rapidrunners Expeditions Team. We are currently in talks with official body, Nepal Kayak and Canoe Club in order to receive volunteers and equipment support. Along with that we have one of our previous supporters, Paddle Nepal, who were of tremendous support in our canyoning course who are interested to provide us the needed staff to help make this course a success.


The course will be held in Fewa Lake where students receive initial training of kayaking Before heading of to Lower Seti. With fair volume of water for newcomers and the warmest river in Nepal and safe rapids, Lower Seti is a great introduction to whitewater adventure, perfect first timers such as our students for learning river rafting & kayaking. The white water comes from Annapurna range, in addition it has the perfect blend of nature, isolation along with beautiful white sandy beach for camping under the stars ample for providing us the space and setting for further training on leadership, environment and ecological studies which is an integral part of the outdoor education.

Course Overview

This will be a six day course, at the calm water of Fewa lake students will learn various skills such as basic paddle strokes, braces, rescue techniques and The Eskimo roll. At Lower Seti, student will learn more about white water theory, river safety and navigation before students dive onto the river.In the river water further training will be given on river currents, waves, holes and eddies. The instructors will give them one to one lessons on paddling through gentle river current and mild rapids.
